My Kawasaki Saga Links Page

A short slideshow of the original ski before I got my checkbook out and my hands dirty. Not to mention my imagination in gear.

This next slide show dates from the winter of 2001 - 2002. This slideshow is considerably longer than the first one so please excuse me that I do not take the time to rename all of the frickin pictures. If by chance you happen upon this page and have a question about one of the pictures, just use the email link at the bottom and refer to the picture number. It was the first big rework of the whole ski from tip to tail. With the exception of the final paintwork and an odd thing or two, all of the work was performed by my alter ego, Calvin. It included a complete motor rework topped off by a ADA Racing head , custom Coffman Pro Dry Race Pipe with water injection, lots of custom hull mods that included front sponsons as well as custom freestyle footwells, and of course new paint work (Blowsion). The hood assembly was also completely gutted and a custom carbon fiber inlay was created (best pic's of this in Mod 2). Power was transfered to the water via a custom Skat-Trak pump assembly. Then there was the zillion or so grade 8 stainless bolts, screws, washers, and nuts. I have long ago lost track of all the stuff I did to this ski over the winter but it was extensive (and expensive).

This next slide show dates from the winter of 2002 - 2003. While the modifications are not as readily apparent as the ones the winter before, there were still lots of extensive changes made. Some of them were: removal of the engine and a complete internal bracing of the hull using both fiberglass and carbon fiber cloth and resins, pouring of quick cast resins into the engine compartment bottom nooks and crannies so that the water drainage would be better, a complete rework of the internal hood inner structure for a better fit, an extensive modification to the pump assembly to facilitate the installation of reverse trim nozzle, a custom fabrication of a plexiglass holder for the fire extinguisher that relocated it to the back right hand corner of the engine compartment, new handle bars and start/kill switchs, and lots of other little things.
